Sex and the City 2
Last night was the midnight showing of SATC2, (aka the most fabulous day of the year). This morning i was just looking through some news sites and I stumbled upon this article.

Well Mr. Smith, I have about 15 million problems with this review. Can I please just say, UGH MEN! I don't know how much longer they can last on earth since their IQs just continue to plummet. They just don't get it. AT ALL. It's not that Mr. Big wants to watch TV, it's that he knew there was an event, saw his wife all dressed up, and THEN sat on the couch and watched TV. Heaven forbid a man sacrifice a night of TV to please his wife. Carrie is high maintenance, but Big knew that from the start, and he loves that about her. And while we're at it, Carries gingham top outfit was cute.
Charlotte, bless her heart, is going absolutely crazy with her kids, and although I don't have any experience in that area, I know for a fact that two little girls has to be one of the most stressful things ever. (Poor mom lol) Its not the vintage skirt that shes crying over, its the mounting stress of Rose crying, Lilly wanting attention, baking cupcakes (not muffins, there kyle), and feeling threatened by the nanny. A girl can only take so much before she just has to break down. Harry wasn't cheating on her, but it takes a toll on the self confidence to see your husband look at another woman that way. Cheating on beautiful women is not unheard of, um can you say Sandra Bullock?
Samantha was freaking hilarious the entire movie. All 5 of my friends, and the rest of the theatre for that matter, were belly laughing at most of her lines. Miranda was also fun, funny, and carefree, which is an entirely different character for her.
I guess what bothers me is that this movie focuses on not only things we struggle with in society, but things women struggle with in general. I love the gay wedding because it is the future, and it just reinforces what little "equal rights" they have when Stanford points out how many states gay marriage is illegal in. People tend to think women have made it, but that's only until you're sitting in a meeting with several men of equal status and one pats you on the hand, calls you "sweetie", and asks for coffee. They went to a place where women are severely mistreated to prove a point, not to mock or disrespect. The women there appreciated their spunk, and almost commended them.
These are 4 successful, beautiful, powerful, new york city women, and even they are being trampled on by life. Carrie struggles to keep the "sparkle" with Big. Miranda struggles with her job and family. Charlotte struggles with motherhood and trust. And well, Samantha struggles with hormones. These are all the problems women face each day. How could a man possibly understand it?
The bottom line is, this movie was fantastic, 5 Stars. Mr. Smith, your article has one. Maybe you should do a little background work before criticizing something you know absolutely nothing about.
